It is a country located at the centre of the Indo-China peninsula in Southeast Asia. It is bordered to the north by Burma and Laos, to the east by Laos and Cambodia, to the south by the Gulf of Thailand and Malaysia, and to the west by the Andaman Sea and the southern extremity of Burma. Its maritime boundaries include Vietnam in the Gulf of Thailand to the southeast, and Indonesia and India in the Andaman Sea to the southwest.

 

The country is a constitutional monarchy, the king of Thailand is titled Head of State, Head of the Armed Forces, the Upholder of the Buddhist religion, and the Defender of all Faiths. The capital and largest city is Bangkok.It is Thailand's political, commercial, industrial and cultural hub. The country's official language is Thai. The primary religion is Buddhism, which is practiced by around 95% of the population.
It is a wondrous kingdom, featuring Buddhist temples, exotic wildlife, and spectacular islands. Along with a fascinating history and a unique culture that includes delectable Thai food and massage, Thailand features a modern capital city, and friendly people who epitomize Thailand’s “land of smiles” reputation.

TOURIST VISA:The Applicant should have a passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of expiry of the desired visa.One visa form (photocopy allowed).Two recent (not older than 6 months) passport-size color photographs taken against a white or light blue background (35 x 45 mm). The photographs should be clear and of good quality, and should be printed on normal photographic paper. It should be pasted on the visa form and not stapled. Applications submitted with scanned photographs will be refused by The Royal Thai Embassy and the visa fees will not be refunded.Visa fee should be paid in the form of a Bank Draft in favor of "The Royal Thai Embassy" payable in New Delhi.For Applicants in Chennai and Bangalore, the Bank Draft should be in favor of "The Royal Thai Consulate General", payable in Chennai.All travel agents and representatives need to carry an letter of authority from the applicants for the submission of applications. The applications without the authority letter from Applicants will not be accepted.
